Magic is the Space InBetween

October 3, 2013 | By More

My recent move to the Northwest has been an incredible magical journey. I look around sometimes and I keep waiting to wake up from a dream.  Though there are still alot of unknowns, I have relaxed into a space of  what I call the Magical Space – the inbetween.  This IS where the magic lives. I truly could not come close to imagining or even make up with my best fictional writing, all the colorful life surprises that have transpired.

I find myself living in a gorgeous 1929 home filled with beautiful antiques of grand luxury surrounded with new friends and housemates that understand the importance of  living in community. I meditate regularly with new friends who would drive to the ends of the earth to be there for me and I for them. I lie in the arms of a new lover that adores me and teaches me everyday to honor the chaos and let go of fear because as he so eloquently states “it prevents the crystallization of your thoughts”.  I share all of this as a reminder to you that when we let go and allow there to even be an inbetween time where we can swim and be fluid within that space…….. incredible things DO happen.  To often we bypass the inbetween and push and push and push to get from here to there.  We get locked in making sure we are doing the “right” thing all the time. Paralyzed with fear that we must do it right.  We want to figure it all out and we want it all exact and complete. We want it all bundled in a nice neat package that is easy to open and that contains all the answers. Unfortunately,  magic has no room to breathe or prosper in such a tightly well maintained package. Let go of a neat life and embrace a messy one – there the magic can breathe and expand and provide you with more than you could ever have imagined yourself.  I leave you with this quote from Rumi….

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” ~Rumi
